This machine was the overall winner of the 18th African Safari Rally in 1970. In the eighth year after its debut entry, it also was both class and team category champion. The debut of the third-generation Bluebird (510) was in August 1967. The 17th Safari Rally in 1969 served as the setting for the movie “5000km to the Glory”, starring Yujiro Ishihara.
