1966 Bluebird 1300SS

At the 14th East African Safari Rally held in 1966, this vehicle was the first Japanese car to win in its class (under 1,300cc). The second-generation Bluebird (Datsun 410) was launched in September 1963. In March of the following year, the 1200SS (Sports Sedan) – featuring a 62PS engine with SU carburetor and dual exhaust pipes – was launched. This evolved into the 1300SS in May 1965.
