Nissan Skyline GT-R – BNR34 V Spec

With the BNR34 (R34) V-Spec, Nissan continued with their tradition of producing a more hardcore, more focused GT-R than the standard version, then labeling it V-Spec. In this case the R34 V-Spec was the more manic sibling of the standard R34.
Like its R33 V-Spec predecessor, the R34 V-Spec also featured the ATTESA-ETS Pro system and a Limited Slip Differential (LSD) for the rear tires, as opposed to the standard R34’s non-Pro ATTESA-ETS and mechanical rear differential. The V-spec model also had stiffer suspension, lower ground clearance, and front and rear air diffusers to assist in smooth airflow on the car’s underside.
In August 2000, Nissan released the V-Spec II, a revised version of the R34 V-Spec. It sported a carbon-fiber hood (bonnet), aluminum floor pedals, and an iridium center console. The driving experience was made even more hardcore by use of larger rear brake rotors and even stiffer suspension than the existing V-Spec.
