Effective Wednesday, 1 July 2009, Parkside Media Limited and the NZ Drift Series announce that the existing partnership with Cocaine Energy Drink and the NZ Drift Series will cease to continue due to Cocaine Energy distributor, Wize Marketing Ltd, not fulfilling all contractual obligations on its behalf.

“It’s frustrating to make major adjustments to the series at this stage, although discussions with staff, drivers and other series sponsors saw a mutual agreement that this was the best way forward for the NZ Drift Series,” commented Michael White, Sales and Marketing Manager for Parkside Media.

While disruptive to the five-round series, whose second round takes place on Sunday, July 12 at Pukekohe Park Raceway, White is already looking ahead towards the remainder of the 2009 NZ Drift Series season.

“We are now in the process of rebranding the series throughout all our media forms, and some new sponsors who will be evident by July 12 for our second round at Pukekohe.” White said.
