R32 Skyline roll

Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series competitor Lee Mclean has always had a bit of a reputation as a complete nutbar. On Monday of this week, he well and truly cemented that rep behind the wheel of his wicked R32 Skyline slider (As featured in our Raceline 08 special edition).

Stopping off in Wellington on his way back from Round 3 of the Stil Vodka NZ Drift Series at Ruapuna, Lee and a few of the Driftcorp boys made the trip up to Slipway Drift Facility for a skid or two. As balls-to-the-wall as ever, Lee clipped the tire wall at the top of third gear, which gave him enough speed to roll the car completely. Now a complete write off, the Skyline has been ditched and a new S15 Silvia has been bought. With only a few weeks until Round 4 at Taupo, Lee has a huge job in front of him, turning the completely standard Nissan into a full-blown drift car.

Lee is open to the idea of help, so if you ,or your company thinks there might be something you can do to assist with the new build, please get in contact with Pedey on pedey@peformancecar.co.nz and he will point you in the right direction.
