Get ready for Red Bull Drift Shifters this Saturday

Red Bull Drift Shifters hits Victoria St West in Auckland this Saturday between 12-3pm.  The brain child of Mad Mike Whiddett, the event will see a move away from traditional judge-based drifting, and instead a host of proximity, angle and speed sensors will come into play on the pinball-inspired street circuit. NZ’s Gaz Whiter in the LS2-powered Tectaloy S14

Andrew Redward in the Achilles FC RX-7

Curt Whittaker in the Autosure 2JZ powered R34

jason Sellers in the JSR/Wongs Kitchen 2JZ powered Laurel

Hugo Maclean in the Grab-a-Tool 20B PP-powered AE85

Joining the Kiwi’s will be currrent FD USA, FD Asia and D1GP Champion Diago Sato in his 1200hp Toyota Chaser, FD USA competitor Matt Powers in his LS1-powered S14 and two time FD champion Samuel Hubbinette in his monster Dodge. MC’ing the event will be the voice of FD Jarod DeAnda. It all kicks off at midday this Saturday and best of all, Red Bull have made the event free to one and all, with spectator areas surrounding the track and in two stories of the Victoria Park Market Carpark
