Last weekend (21-22 Feb, 2009) at the show aspect of the V 4&Rotary South Island Champs, this insane-looking H-badged car turned up on the Spec Performance stand. Given its stance you’d have expected to see the wild EF Honda Civic at the annual drag meet, however, it was not in a finished strip state!yet. Powered by a B18C5 engine with a large turbocharged strapped to the front of it, the Civic looks set to cut some seriously sharp ETs once it’s running and finds traction through its massive Mickey Thompson DOT-approved drag slicks. The question remains, though, will this car be the one to take down the fastest import front-wheel-drive title in New Zealand that was set by Ronnie Lim all those years ago with a 9.88 @ 236kph? Only time will tell.
