F1 superstars defecting to rally

Kimi Raikkonen

Since the end of the 2009 Formula 1 season, there’s been great speculation about who will be going where in 2010. One man who appears to be currently without a seat for 2010 is 2007 F1 champion, Kimi Raikkonen. That’s alright, though, as Raikkonen has expressed great interest in pursuing a WRC drive in 2010, following on from the handful of rallies he completed this past year in his own Fiat Punto Abarth. However, it’s looking likely that Robert Kubica might dabble in the rally world, too, as he lines up to complete his second rally in the coming weeks — his first a dismal performance that saw him crash out. It’s not just these two that are looking to turn their attention to gravel, though — 2009 F1 runner-up and Red Bull driver, Sebastien Vettel is keen on trying his hand at the sport, too.
