Hi Tania, where have you come from today?
I live out in West Auckland at the moment, so it wasn’t too much of a mission getting in to the city

Where are you from originally?
I grew up in Auckland for a while, but then moved to a little place called Maungatoroto, near Whangarei, for eight years.

What was it like growing up in small-town rural New Zealand?
To be honest, I didn’t really like it; there wasn’t exactly a lot to do there. That’s why I moved back to the city. Although in saying that, I do appreciate it a little bit more now that I don’t live there. It’s nice to get away from Auckland for a few days occasionally.

You sound like the sort of person who likes to go out a lot.
Yeah, I do like to go out. That’s why promo work suits me so well; I get to go out for free, meet heaps of people and have lots of fun.

Is there enough work out there to do that every weekend?
Yes, definitely! I’ve been working Wednesday through to Saturday recently, so there is plenty of work available.

On a related note, does it seem weird that hundreds of thousands of people will be looking at pictures of you in your undies in about a month’s time when this issue comes out?
No, it doesn’t.

Why not?
I guess I’m just used to it with all the promo work. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished magazine.

Doing something like this would turn a lot of people into nervous wrecks. Do you think you are that certain personality type that has no shame?
Oh I have shame, don’t get me wrong, but just not for something like this. Shoots and promo work are great for me; I used to be really shy, but after doing promo for two years now, I’m much more confident.

Obviously this sort of work has a shelf life for any girl. What happens when you are too old to be doing this sort of thing?
Yeah, I agree. I’m going to university next year, so by the time I’m over the hill I’ll have a degree in early childhood education.
