Well that was a long day! How long have you been here at the studio today?

I’ve been here about seven or eight hours now, but that’s okay with me.

Yeah, you seem pretty stoked. I’m guessing the shoot went well then?

Yeah, it was great. I’ve never really done the whole modelling thing before, so when I first came in this morning, I felt a little overwhelmed with cameras in my face and that sort of thing. But after I got used to it, it was a lot of fun.

This month we are rocking Illicit gear for the shoot, what do you think?

Well, I like their style so I was pretty happy when I saw what they would be dressing me in.

That works out nicely then. So tell me, where did you grow up? You don’t really come off like an Aucklander.

Quite right, I grew up in Whangamata.

Whangamata is rad! It would be like going on holiday 24/7. What was it like growing up there?

Ha, it’s not that great. It’s a nice place to visit for a holiday, but if you live there it gets boring very quickly. Plus I was into skating, not surfing, so that pretty much put me on the outside. I moved out as soon as I could and went to Hamilton to study at 16.

And I’m guessing you got a bit out of control in the Tron!

Haha, yes, you could say that. But hey, that’s what being a teenager is all about, isn’t it?

So now that you are living in Auckland, what is your life all about now?

Dancing, good music, the usual sort of thing I guess. I make my own bikinis, too, strangely enough.

You mean like the one you are wearing right now?

Yep, everyone always says I should start a company and do it properly, but I haven’t quite got around to it yet.

Interesting! there doesn’t really seem to be much room for error from what I can see, so I officially endorse your bikini-making abilities. And to distract you from the fact that I’m still staring at your boobies, give me an opinion on pick-up lines. Do they work on you? In fact, do you think they work on anyone?

No, I can’t say that I’ve ever fallen for one. But then again, I’m not really the type of girl to meet someone in a bar and go home with them.

How would a guy meet you successfully then?

I guess I meet most people through other friends ­ it’s more of a no pressure kind of situation.
