Snowball Run 2010

July 1st, 2010 by Pedey

Last weekend the NZPC team hit up the Snowball Run 2010 event, located all over the north island over two days. It was pretty awesome, and I recommend everyone goes on the next one. Big ups to Auckland Motorsport for putting the event on.

I’ll keep this brief, as I’m about to start writing the article for this event for our next issue, so in the meantime, check out a few snaps from the weekend:

Early morning start. Check out ADD Steve and his awesome FC. Too early for some people...

Namely Matt Hamilton, one of NZPC's freelance photographers.

The team was nicely rounded out by myself, another photographer Taryn and the infamous driver of our 5Zigen WRX steed...

Male model Falgs.

I have to give it to many of the teams, they went all out. (These guys were in a smurf-blue R32 GT-R)

No one was taking anything very seriously, which really added to the atmosphere

The Wildcats girls got my vote for most dedicated though - outfits, fully vinyled car, cheer team with signs standing on the side of the motorway just after this shot was taken... Extreme dedication

It was a long day driving, especially considering there is next to no give in the 5Zigen Rex

Luckily one of the stops was Candyland...

After a sweet dinner and party on Saturday night, we headed to the track for a full morning of racing

It was cool to see such a wide variation of cars hitting the circuit

Including the Bangbus

And our steed for the weekend (which, I must say, was the coolest looking Japanese car on the trip)

I’ll leave it at that for now, but check on issue 165, due out in a months time, for full coverage
