NZPC Staffers Get Stimulated

June 23rd, 2008 by Pedey

Last week, the good bastards down at Hyper Stimulators, NZ’s longest running race simulation company, invited the team down to their South Auckland premises for a night of interoffice V8 Supercar racing. The fast talkers over in sales and marketing decided to challenge us editorial staff to a night long challenge on Brazil’s infamous Kyalami circuit. This was a poor move on their part, as they lost – badly. In fact, it was an all star NZPC finish, with news editor Gray Lynskey coming in first place in overall points and quickest laptime. I managed second overall and Pcar’s designer, Cam Leggitt, nabbed 3rd. Interestingly, the ‘Tards who originally issued the challenge filled up all the bottom spots, a good 10 seconds per lap slower. Thanks to Hyper Stimulators and the sales boys for hooking up the night, the free blat on these ultra realistic simulators was a real experience. Aussie Dan, NZV8 sales guy, looking confused. Right foot for fast, left foot for slow. You’ll get it one day…

The very impressive premises at Hyper Stimulator.

Its a ultra realistic simulator, not a computer game. This makes us good drivers, not nerds. “Cough*
